Taiwan lies in the sub-tropics and November is still quite warm. The average daytime temperature in Taiwan during the conference will be around 22°C -25°C which should be pleasant and comfortable. We recommend a set of warmer attire for the evening.

Insurance

Registration fees include insurance coverage but you may choose to take out additional insurance as you see fit.

Safety and Food

Taipei City is one of the safest cities in the world and enjoys one of the lowest crime rates globally. Even during the middle of the night, strolling through Taipei 's downtown business district is perfectly safe. Taiwan has a rich nightlife as exemplified by its 24-hour bookstores, food stalls, and myriad convenience stores. We encourage participants to go exploring as this will no doubt leave you with very fond memories upon your departure.

Taiwan 's eclectic food culture is garnering a growing global reputation for its wide selection of local and international cuisines. From Taiwan 's highly variegated traditional night market food stalls on up to formal restaurants featuring international cuisine, everything is here.

The conference's location nearby Taipei 's flourishing Hsinyi district and East Side provides participants with convenient access to restaurants of any price range in a selection of both Asian and Western cuisines. Taipei 's prominent night markets include the Tonghua Street Night Market, the Raoho Night Market, and the Shilin Night Market: all three authentic exemplars of Taiwan 's traditional evening cuisine.
First-aid

There will be a first-aid kit on hand at the conference venue. Those requiring further medical attention will be transported to a nearby metropolitan hospital.
